	Structure 8 is the only building which is not a house.  It lacks beds and dresser and has a less regular plan.  It was also free-standing.  The walls are therefore thicker because they were not dug into the midden for support.  It appears to have been a workshop for making stone tools and perhaps other objects, such as bone and wooden implements.
